Abigail Harrison is a girl with a dream. She aspires to be an astronaut. But it doesn’t stop there–she dreams of becoming the first astronaut to Mars. With dreams this big, it takes setting goals and working hard each day to make them a reality. In 2011, at the age of 13, Abby began to speak publicly about her dreams. Her work over the years as an international STEAM (science, technology, engineering, arts, mathematics) and space ambassador has led to a following of over one million people on social media.
In 2015, at the age of 18 years old, Abby founded The Mars Generation, a 501c3 nonprofit with the support of an advisory board of astronauts, engineers, scientists and her hundreds of thousands of online supporters.
The nonprofit has reached over 25 million people in its first two years of operation with its work to educate and excite kids and adults about space exploration and STEM education.

- Space Camp Scholarship Program.
Abigail “Abby” Harrison, popularly known as “Astronaut Abby” is an aspiring astronaut who aims to become the first astronaut to land on the planet Mars. Abby’s dreams of becoming an astronaut started at the age of 5. Since then she’s made numerous steps that have inched her closer and closer to achieving her ultimate dream, including her graduation from Wellesley College in the Spring of 2019. Abby is now pursuing her PhD.
Over the years celebrity speaker for hire Abby has scaled both her brand and public following quickly and effectively. Beginning with her website in 2011, Abby quickly established herself as the face of the “Mars Generation”. Since then she’s grown her brand to include upwards of 500K followers across multiple social media networks. Due to her recognition Abby has been able to partner with companies like Dunkin Donuts in the past to further publicize her dream of becoming an astronaut.
Abby is devoted to making not only her own dreams come true but also dreams of others around the world. She hopes to inspire others to dream big and act big. She does so in multiple ways including the non-profit organization she founded in 2015. The organization, The Mars Generation, has reached over 25 million people and strives to drive interest in space exploration and STEM education.
Abby’s successful and inspiring story has led to her recognition as a leader and motivator both inside the STEM community and out. This has provided her with the opportunity to educate others about her experiences at dozens of events and appearances such as the TEDx talk she gave in Tampa Bay in 2013.
